Blue Doctors

Doctors Kalila and her father Tripoli in Taureg garb. Before Devil's Eye starts, Tripoli was a famous and popular doctor known across all of northern Africa and the middle east for having discovered through experience plenty of medical technuiqes that are ahead of his time, to the point where rulers of cities as far as Jerusalem and Tyre would request for his coming all the way from the Saharan desert. His books were well known throughout the Ottoman Empire, and even known some in Europe, although disregarded as quakery or a perhaps just a silly gimmick. However, his work is not perfect, and after a large medical blunder leaves his caravan troupe decimated, he loses face and confidence, putting himself into exile. He was found in Tripoli by Ravyn's crew, and adopted by them under the alias he adopted from said city.

Kalila on the other hand, remained in the Sahara, either abandoned by her father, or adopted by another caravan, the details are not clear. She grows up continuing his legacy, thinking her father dead, and practicing medicine much like he did, although she never reaches his level of fame.
